Zosterops flavifrons
The Yellow-fronted White-eye (Zosterops flavifrons) is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its distinctive yellow forehead and white eye-ring, which contrasts with its olive-green upperparts and yellow underparts. These agile birds are often seen flitting through the foliage in search of insects, nectar, and fruits. They are known for their melodious and varied songs, which they use to communicate and defend their territories. The Yellow-fronted White-eye plays a vital role in forest ecosystems as pollinators and seed dispersers. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, their populations are currently stable, and they are considered a species of Least Concern by the IUCN.
