Yellow-green Vireo

The Yellow-green Vireo is a small songbird found in Mexico and Central America. It has olive-green upperparts, a yellow throat, and white underparts. This species is known for its distinctive song, a series of melodious whistled phrases. Yellow-green Vireos inhabit open woodlands, forest edges, and gardens, where they forage for insects and spiders. They build cup-shaped nests in trees and shrubs. The species is not globally threatened and is relatively common throughout its range.
