Yellow Honeyeater, Stomiopera flava, is a honeyeater of north-eastern Australia in the family Meliphagidae. It occurs in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forest and in mangrove forest. It is also found in northern Queensland, where it hovers in front of the flowers of the bottlebrush orchid, Coelandria smillieae, between August and November. The species was described by Gould in 1843. It was formerly placed in Lichenostomus before being transferred to Stomiopera.
