Columba pallidiceps (Ramsay, EP, 1878)

Yellow-legged Pigeon, Columba pallidiceps, is a pigeon of the Bismarck and Solomon archipelagos, breeding from New Ireland and New Britain to Bougainville and Makira. It lives in moist lowland forest and moist montane forest in subtropical or tropical areas. The species was once treated as Endangered, but later work showed it to be less scarce than first thought, and it was moved to Vulnerable in 2008. Habitat loss remains a threat.
