Yellow-naped Amazon, Amazona auropalliata, is a parrot of Middle America, breeding from southern Mexico to Costa Rica. It is found along the Pacific side of southern Mexico and Central America. The bird is also known as the yellow-naped parrot. It is sometimes treated as part of the yellow-crowned amazon. Its name refers to the yellow marking on the nape. The species was described by Lesson in 1842.
