Yellow-rumped Marshbird Pseudoleistes guirahuro is a passerine of the Icteridae family, found in south-eastern South America in Paraguay, southern Brazil, north-eastern Argentina and Uruguay. It is a resident bird of marshes, wet grassland, rice fields, wet savanna with scattered trees, and nearby drier uplands. The species is recognised by its rich yellow rump and yellow underparts, with brown upperparts and a blackish brown head, neck and upper breast. Males and females look alike, and juveniles are browner with paler-edged feathers and a yellower throat and breast.
