Yellow-throated Bunting, Emberiza elegans, is a bird of the bunting family that breeds across temperate forest edges in eastern Asia, from south-eastern Russia and north-eastern China to the Korean Peninsula and parts of Japan, with separate populations farther south and west in China. It also spends the non-breeding season in woodland and open country across the far east of Asia, including the Korean Peninsula, Japan, south-eastern China and Taiwan. It was described by Temminck in 1836.
