Yellow-throated Chlorospingus

Chlorospingus canigularis

The Yellow-throated Chlorospingus is a small passerine bird found in the highlands of Costa Rica and western Panama. It is characterized by its olive-green upperparts, yellow throat, and gray underparts. This species is often found in mixed-species flocks, foraging for insects and small fruits in the canopy and understory of montane forests. It is known for its melodious and varied song, which is often heard during the breeding season. The Yellow-throated Chlorospingus is not currently considered to be globally threatened, although habitat loss and fragmentation may pose localized threats.
