Yellow-throated Laughingthrush, Pterorhinus galbanus, is a bird of the Leiothrichidae family that breeds in north-east India, Myanmar and Bangladesh. It occurs in the Patkai mountain range, where it uses grassy places with bushes and trees, as well as scrub and forest. Its crown is pale grey, which separates it from the blue-crowned laughingthrush. The species was described by Godwin-Austen in 1874 and is now placed in Pterorhinus after earlier being assigned to Garrulax.
