Macronyx croceus (Vieillot, 1816)

Yellow-throated Longclaw, Macronyx croceus, is a passerine in the Motacillidae family and breeds across Africa from Senegal and Gambia east to South Sudan and Kenya, and south to Angola and South Africa. It was described by Vieillot in 1816. It has yellow underparts and a black band on the upper breast. It can be told from the pangani longclaw by the yellow under tail-coverts, which the pangani lacks, and by the absence of an orange throat. It is usually alone, apart from when it is in a pair.
