Yellow-throated Scrubwren

Drymodes superciliaris

The Yellow-throated Scrubwren (Drymodes superciliaris) is a small, insectivorous bird native to the eastern and southeastern regions of Australia. It is known for its distinctive yellow throat and prominent white eyebrow stripe. This species is often found foraging in dense undergrowth and shrubby areas, using its slender bill to probe for insects and small invertebrates. The Yellow-throated Scrubwren is a highly social bird, often seen in small family groups or mixed-species flocks. Its melodious and varied song can be heard throughout its woodland and forest habitats. Although not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential future risks to its populations.
