Yellow-whiskered Chlorospingus, Chlorospingus parvirostris, is a passerine in the New World sparrow family and breeds from Colombia to Bolivia in South America. It was first described by Chapman in 1901. Some authorities use the name short-billed chlorospingus. It lives in humid to wet subtropical forest, especially where moss and epiphytes are abundant, and in Ecuador it uses the lower and middle forest levels as well as edges. The species is a year-round resident. Its breeding range runs along the eastern Andean slopes, with separate populations in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
