Yellow-winged Flatbill, Tolmomyias flavotectus, is a tyrant flycatcher of Middle America and north-western South America, breeding from Costa Rica through Panama and western Colombia to north-west Ecuador. It lives in wet forest, mature secondary growth and plantations, usually in the forest interior and along edges. The species is recognised by its broad flat bill and the yellow-edged wings that give it its name. It was first described by Hartert in 1902 and is now treated as a separate species.
