Yellow-winged Pytilia, Pytilia hypogrammica, is an African estrildid finch found in West Africa from Guinea to Liberia and east to south Chad and the Central African Republic. It was described by Sharpe in 1870. It is also known as the red-faced pytilia. Its recorded range is sparse, and its global extent of occurrence has been estimated at 250,000 km2. It belongs to the Passeriformes and the Estrildidae family, which includes waxbills, munias and their allies.
