Polioptila clementsi

The Yucatan gnatcatcher (Polioptila clementsi) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It is characterized by its bluish-gray upperparts, white underparts, and distinctive white eye ring. This species is often found in dry scrubland, tropical forests, and mangrove swamps, where it forages for insects and spiders in the foliage. The Yucatan gnatcatcher builds cup-shaped nests using plant fibers and spider silk, typically placed in low shrubs or trees.
