Parulidae — New World Warblers
Yungas Warbler, Basileuterus punctipectus, is a passerine in the New World warbler family that lives in south-east Peru and south-west Bolivia. It was first described by Chapman in 1924. Its range lies in the Andes, where it occurs in humid forest and cloudforest from foothill country upwards. The species is a year-round resident. It is one of the Yungas birds whose taxonomy has been revised, and it is now treated as a full species by many systems, though its wider classification has remained unsettled.
