Small-Group Bolivia Beni Extension
A focused three-day small-group Beni extension linking Riberalta and Trinidad for Masked Antpitta, Blue-throated Macaw and an estimated 50-75 species.
About this tour
This small-group three-day extension is built around two localized birds in northern Bolivia. An early flight from La Paz reaches Riberalta, where the remaining field time is used to search for Masked Antpitta and other birds of nearby savanna, cerrado and rainforest. If needed, the following morning provides additional time around Riberalta before the afternoon flight to Trinidad.
The final morning visits a private reserve south of Trinidad for Blue-throated Macaw. The route then returns in time for an afternoon flight, allowing the extension to connect with travel through either Santa Cruz or Lima. The published estimate is 50-75 species, with both the total and individual sightings dependent on field conditions.
The extension is rated easy, and most birding is from roadsides or relatively flat trails. June through November is the listed operating period; drier conditions generally make access more dependable. Send an inquiry through BirdWatch to confirm flight connections, current availability and final pricing.
