Pantanal Wildlife and Bird Photography Adventure
An eleven-day Pantanal photography expedition combining river safaris for jaguars with macaws, toucans, Jabirus, herons, owls and other wetland wildlife.
About this tour
Travel from Cuiabá into the Pantanal for an eleven-day birding and wildlife photography expedition across river, wetland, forest and ranch habitats. Jaguars are the principal wildlife focus during five full days of morning and afternoon boat safaris, while the wider program also creates strong opportunities for macaws, toucans, Jabirus, herons, owls and many other birds.
The journey begins with a full day in Chapada dos Guimarães for macaws and other species, then follows the Transpantaneira to a lodge on the Cuiabá River. After the river program, two days in the northern Pantanal add forest walks, night safaris and ranch habitats where Hyacinth Macaws, toucans, aracaris, Jabirus, potoos and owls may be photographed alongside mammals and reptiles.
The published price includes accommodation, transfers from Cuiabá, most meals, two boat safaris per day during the river stay, excursions, park admission, an English-speaking guide and driver, and professional photography leadership. Flights, visas, insurance, beverages, equipment, personal items and gratuities are excluded. Every sighting depends on natural activity and current conditions.
