Temples and Birds
A full-day exploration of Angkor's temples and surrounding forests with a guide trained in both cultural interpretation and specialist birding.
About this tour
Temples and Birds combines a full day in the Angkor landscape with guided birding. An official Angkor temple guide who is also trained in bird identification leads the route through cultural sites and the quieter woodland around them.
The deciduous and semi-evergreen woodland may produce Hainan Blue Flycatcher, parakeets, Black Baza, Black-capped Kingfisher, drongos, small owls, White-throated Rock Thrush and Forest Wagtail. The flycatcher and wagtail are highlighted objectives, while migration and daily activity shape the actual list.
The package provides tuk-tuk transport and pickup from Siem Reap, two meals, drinking water and binoculars. A valid Angkor Temple Pass is required but not included; a stop at the ticket office can be arranged for travelers who need to purchase one.
