About this tour
Head into southern Saskatchewan grassland and slough country to listen for the clear song of Western Meadowlark. Open roadside habitat provides opportunities to watch birds singing from posts or moving through the prairie.
The guide helps locate and identify meadowlarks and other birds encountered along the route, with a spotting scope available for distant views. Observation remains dependent on season, weather and current activity.
Book a four-hour half-day or an eight-hour full-day private search. Tours operate from April through September, and participants travel in their own or rented vehicle. The roadside format can suit many guests who prefer limited walking.
