About this tour
Travel through rural country around Saskatoon on a private two-day search for wintering Snowy Owls. The guide chooses roads and stopping points according to current sightings, weather and safe access, with time allowed for careful observation and photography.
The operator follows a no-baiting policy. Participants normally photograph from their vehicle or from a suitable position directed by the guide, using telephoto equipment and quiet behaviour to reduce disturbance.
The 2026–2027 Snowy Owl season runs from December 2 through February 28. Parties of up to three provide a non-smoking personal or rented vehicle, transport the guide, use winter tyres and arrange meals and accommodation.

Two-day Snowy Owl photography search
Leave Saskatoon for a full-day circuit through productive agricultural areas, stopping only where viewing is safe. Repeat the search on day two with the route adjusted to recent owl activity, road conditions and weather; an overnight closer to the birds may be arranged by the participant if requested.
