About this tour
Search open prairie for Sprague’s Pipit, whose descending flight song can carry over the grasslands during the breeding season. The guide listens for singing birds and uses roadside positions to improve the chance of locating them.
The trip welcomes birdwatchers of different experience levels and keeps walking demands low. Binoculars may be available when requested, although the species can be difficult to see and no encounter is assured.
Private tours run from May through July. Select the four-hour half-day for a focused search or the eight-hour full day for broader coverage. Participants provide their own or rented vehicle.
