2-Day Denmark and Sweden Private Birding Weekend
Two private full birding days linking Copenhagen-area habitats with southern Sweden, tailored to seasonal migration, woodland birds, raptors and personal targets.
About this tour
This private two-day programme combines birding on both sides of the Øresund. One day explores selected habitats around Copenhagen, while the second crosses into Skåne and may include the Falsterbo Peninsula or other productive southern Swedish sites.
The seasonal possibilities are broad. Winter can emphasize eagles, kites, geese and woodpeckers. Spring brings cranes, songbird arrival and breeding waders, while summer supports woodland and open-country species. From August through October, migration becomes the principal theme, with shorebirds, passerines and raptors moving through the region.
Most core sites lie around 30–60 minutes from Copenhagen, allowing the guide to adjust the route to weather, bird news and requested targets. Two full field days create more flexibility than a single outing and can balance careful study, photography and list-building. Wild birds and migration conditions remain unpredictable, so no individual species is guaranteed.
