About this tour

North of Copenhagen, forests, lakes and a long north-facing coastline create a varied birding circuit within easy reach of the city. The area lies on an important migration corridor, and the guide selects sites according to wind, season and the visitor’s priorities.

Spring migration can bring cranes, raptors and waves of passerines, followed by summer breeding birds such as woodpeckers, Red-backed Shrike, Wryneck, Osprey and Kingfisher. Waders begin moving south again during summer, while autumn adds seabirds, passerines and larger birds of prey. In winter, geese and raptors become more prominent, with Dipper, Kingfisher and occasional irruptive northern species possible.

The private format supports target-focused birding, photography or a broader introduction to Danish habitats. Choose a five-hour excursion or extend to eight hours for more sites and field time. Bird movements are weather-dependent, so the exact route remains flexible.
