South of Copenhagen Private Birding Tour
A private half- or full-day birding tour through the wetlands, meadows and woodland south of Copenhagen, adapted to seasonal birds and personal targets.
About this tour
Only a short drive south of central Copenhagen, a broad reserve complex combines shallow wetlands, open meadows and wooded trails. A private outing can link Klydesøen, Kongelunden and Kofoeds Enge according to the season, weather and the birds currently using each habitat.
Spring and summer bring breeding grebes, ducks, waders and a varied passerine community. Migration broadens the possibilities in spring and again from late summer, while winter favors geese, diving ducks and raptors. White-tailed Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, harriers and Red Kite are among the possible birds of prey, while shorebird diversity can be especially strong during passage.
The experience can focus on target species, identification practice, photography or a relaxed introduction to local birdlife. The five-hour option provides a concentrated survey; the eight-hour format allows more habitats and a packed lunch when arranged in advance. All sightings remain dependent on natural conditions.
