Great Snipe Display and Wetland Birds of Central Estonia
Five days of small-group birding in central Estonia for Great Snipe display, floodplain waders, raptors, wetland birds and forest grouse.
About this tour
Central Estonia’s river meadows, flooded woodland, fishponds and raised bogs support an exceptional concentration of breeding wetland birds. The route combines daytime exploration with evening visits to established Great Snipe display areas.
Alam-Pedja, the Pedja and Emajõgi river systems, Võrtsjärv, Ilmatsalu and wetlands near Tartu provide opportunities for waders, marsh birds, eagles and terns. A boat excursion opens views into some of the least fragmented floodplain habitat in the Baltic region.
The programme is rewritten in English for BirdWatch.info and will be finalised only after Adrian confirms the next departure and current terms.
