Private Full-Day Camargue Delta Birding Tour
Explore the Camargue’s lagoons and marshes on a private day from Arles, with an early Crau steppe session available when conditions favour it.
About this tour
The Camargue combines broad lagoons, marshes and open delta country in one of Europe’s major waterbird regions. A private outing can concentrate entirely on this wetland system or start earlier in the Crau, the last extensive steppe landscape in France, before moving into the delta.
Paul chooses the sequence around season and current bird activity. The search may include flamingos, passage shorebirds and less common resident wetland species, while the day can be paced for observation, photography or fieldcraft.
Meet at Arles railway station for a departure between roughly 6:30 and 8:00 AM, with the exact time varying by season. Return is normally between about 6:00 and 9:00 PM. Confirm timing, route, availability and price through BirdWatch.info.
