A full eight hours provides time to compare several parts of the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay landscape. Depending on the season and conditions, the day can connect exposed shore, tidal mud, salt meadow, marshland, Tombelaine and inland valleys. Sébastien chooses the sequence around current birding value, so the programme can favour a broad survey or give more time to a requested theme.
The longer format suits newcomers who want practical help as well as experienced observers seeking informed local guidance. Sébastien brings more than 20 years of ornithological work to the day, including 16 years with Groupe Ornithologique Normand, professional nature guiding, scientific field activity and bird-ringing authorization held since 2000. English-speaking guests are welcome.
Travel between field sites in Sébastien’s birding vehicle is included. Loan binoculars and spotting scopes support close study without approaching wildlife, and an illustrated tour report follows the visit. The operator’s code limits groups to eight and prioritises distance from birds, nesting areas and sensitive habitat. Participants should prepare for changeable coastal weather with waterproof footwear, rain gear and warm layers. Species and activity cannot be guaranteed.
