Private Birdwatching in Brière and Guérande
A private three-hour birdwatching outing tailored to the Brière wetlands or Guérande salt marshes, with seasonal field interpretation by local guide Antoine Mercier.
About this tour
Explore the wetland birds of western France on a private outing with independent nature guide Antoine Mercier. The experience is arranged for one family or group at a time and can focus on either the Brière marshes or the Guérande salt-marsh landscape, according to the season, current conditions and the participants’ interests.
In Brière, the outing combines bird observation with an introduction to the character and heritage of this extensive wetland. Flooded meadows and surrounding marsh habitats can hold migrant and resident wetland birds. The exact sightings vary naturally, but possibilities recorded for Antoine’s outings include White Stork, Northern Lapwing, Cattle Egret and Sacred Ibis.
A Guérande option looks at the birds, wildlife and working landscape of the salt marshes. Spring and autumn are highlighted for bird observation, while summer also gives visitors a chance to understand the salt-panning environment. Antoine adjusts the route and interpretation to the chosen area and the group.
The private format allows time for questions and unhurried observation. The standard half-day lasts three hours, and the current group price depends on the number of participants. The exact meeting point, language arrangements and chosen wetland route are confirmed after inquiry.
