About this tour
Set out from Puffin Marina in Borgarfjörður Eystri on a compact wildlife safari designed around the seasonal Atlantic Puffin colony. A rigid inflatable boat gives the group a close view of East Iceland’s sea cliffs, coves and offshore feeding areas while keeping the experience to approximately one hour.
The main focus is watching puffins in their natural coastal habitat. Depending on the day, participants may see birds resting near nesting cliffs, flying between land and sea or gathering on the water. Seals, dolphins or whales can also appear, but every sighting depends on wild activity and sea conditions.
Puffin Adventures provides a flotation suit, life jacket and ski goggles. Guests should arrive in warm layers and closed footwear, since conditions on the water can feel much colder than conditions ashore. The regular departure requires at least four participants and carries no more than twelve.

Day 1
Puffin Quest from Borgarfjörður Eystri
Meet the crew at Puffin Marina, receive the supplied safety equipment and board the RIB. Travel along the coast toward sea cliffs and hidden coves, watching for Atlantic Puffins on the water and around nesting areas. The crew adapts the route to current wildlife and sea conditions before returning to the marina after approximately one hour.
