A 14-day Northeast India birding route linking Kaziranga, Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, Dirang and Nameri, with forest, mountain and national-park birding.
About this tour
This 14-day Brahmaputra Tours programme begins with Kaziranga National Park before crossing into Arunachal Pradesh for the forests and mountain habitats of Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, Lama Camp, Sunder View, Sessni, Dirang, Sangti Valley and Sela Pass.
The route continues to Nameri National Park for camp-area and inside-the-park birding before returning to Guwahati. Accommodation includes hotels, tented camps and an eco camp or hotel, as specified in the itinerary.

Assistance on arrival at Guwahati airport from Delhi or Kolkata, followed by transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Overnight at a hotel.
Early-morning elephant safari in the central range, followed by breakfast and birding in the western part of the park. Overnight at a hotel.
A second full day of birding inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight at a hotel.
Drive approximately 159 km, around six hours, to Lama Camp in Arunachal Pradesh. Late-afternoon birding focuses on the Bugun Liocichla around Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary. Overnight at camp.
Full-day birding around Lama Camp and the base-camp area. Overnight at Lama Camp.
Drive and trek toward Sunder View at about 2,465 metres through temperate broad-leaved forest and roadside scrub, with a full day of birding along the track. Overnight in tents at Sunder View.
Trek to Sessni through temperate broad-leaved forest and roadside scrub, birding throughout the day. Overnight in tents at Sessni.
Drive back toward Lama Camp with birding stops along the way. Overnight in a tented camp.
Drive to Dirang and continue toward Mandala Phudung, with birding possible along the route. Overnight at a hotel in Dirang.
Early drive to Sangti Valley for migratory Black-necked Cranes, then return for breakfast before visiting Sela Pass and returning to Dirang. Overnight at a hotel.
Drive to Nameri National Park. Overnight at an eco camp or hotel.
Early birding around the camp followed by birding inside the national park. Overnight at an eco camp or hotel.
Transfer to Guwahati airport for the onward flight to Delhi or Kolkata.
