This five-day private route links birding near Delhi with the River Chambal and the cultural landmarks around Agra. It begins at Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary before continuing to Chambal, where a river safari offers opportunities to look for Indian Skimmer, Black-bellied Tern, Black Ibis and Bonelli’s Eagle, as well as gharial and mugger crocodile.
A separate outing focuses on the Sarus Crane sanctuary. The final section visits Agra’s Red Fort, includes a Taj Mahal sunset and returns to Delhi via Fatehpur Sikri.

Itinerary
Day 1
Delhi, Sultanpur and Chambal
Meet at your Delhi hotel and spend the morning birding with the guide at Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary. Drive to Chambal in the afternoon and stay overnight at Chambal Lodge.
Day 2
River Chambal safari
Take a morning river safari on the River Chambal. Bird possibilities named for this safari include Indian Skimmer, Black-bellied Tern, Black Ibis and Bonelli’s Eagle, together with gharial and mugger crocodile. Return to the lodge for the night.
Day 3
Sarus Crane sanctuary
Visit the Sarus Crane sanctuary for a further birding session, then return to Chambal Lodge for the night.
Day 4
Agra and the Taj Mahal
Spend the morning at Agra’s Red Fort and visit the Taj Mahal for sunset. Overnight at a hotel in Agra.
Day 5
Fatehpur Sikri and return to Delhi
Drive back towards Delhi, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri on the way. Arrive in Delhi and check in at the hotel.
