About this tour
This private full-day format is designed for birders who need a route matched to their location and priorities rather than a fixed sightseeing circuit. William Canto brings biological training, federal guide certification and bird-photography experience to routes across the Yucatan Peninsula.
The agreed plan may use Rio Lagartos, coastal wetlands, mangroves, dry or scrub forest, medium-height forest, Mayan-ruin landscapes or another suitable site. Habitat choice can support regional specialties, resident birds, migrants, photography goals or a gentler introduction to Yucatan birdlife.
Possible priorities include Mexican Sheartail, Yucatan Wren, Black-throated Bobwhite and Yucatan Nightjar. Other route-dependent goals range from Orange Oriole and Rose-throated Tanager to Yucatan Jay, Yucatan Flycatcher, Yellow-lored Parrot and American Flamingo. No species is guaranteed.
Price, meeting point, transport, start time and the exact route are agreed after inquiry. Private guiding and route planning are included. Meals, transport, entrance or community fees, boat costs, accommodation and personal spending remain excluded unless the confirmed proposal includes them.
