About this tour
This is a private, tailor-made guiding format rather than a fixed departure. Dr. Rafael Rueda Hernández shapes the programme around the traveller’s dates, birding priorities and the conditions expected in the selected part of Veracruz or southern Mexico.
Rafael is a Mexican ornithologist with almost two decades of bird research. His background includes a Master’s degree in Biology, bird-banding projects in the United States and Costa Rica, and a Ph.D. in Ornithology from UNAM focused on cloud-forest birds in southeastern Mexico. He has published more than 20 scientific papers and has led tours in Veracruz and southern Mexico since 2006.
A plan may concentrate on migration around Veracruz, cloud-forest birding or other regions in the south of Mexico where Rafael presently operates. Season, recent bird activity, access and the traveller’s interests determine which sites make sense. The route, duration and daily sequence are therefore agreed for each inquiry rather than presented as guaranteed in advance.
Private ornithological and birding guidance is the supported core service. Price, group size, meeting arrangements, transport and the final service package remain on request. Transport, accommodation, meals, entrance fees and other services are excluded unless the written proposal expressly includes them.
