About this tour
Cover a varied Central Panama circuit from dry and second-growth forest near Panama City to humid Caribbean lowlands, forest trails, ponds and the Pipeline Road canopy. The four guided days visit Metropolitan Nature Park, Achiote Road and Fort Sherman, Plantation Trail and Old Gamboa Road, then Pipeline Road and the Rainforest Discovery Center.
The route remains flexible around weather, access and current bird activity. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.

Itinerary
Day 1
Metropolitan Nature Park
Begin in dry and secondary forest near Panama City, using the park trails for manakins, tyrannulets, tanagers and other Canal Zone birds.
Day 2
Achiote Road and Fort Sherman
Cross to the Caribbean lowlands for roadside, trail and forest birding around Achiote, with Fort Sherman considered as time permits.
Day 3
Plantation Trail and Old Gamboa Road
Explore mature and secondary forest at Plantation Trail, then dry forest, scrub, grassland and ponds around Old Gamboa Road.
Day 4
Pipeline Road and Rainforest Discovery Center
Use the canopy tower, feeders and trails at the Discovery Center before continuing along Pipeline Road and nearby wetland stops.
