About this tour
Arroyos y Esteros is a practical gateway to marsh, wet grassland and open-country birding from Asuncion. The compact route can hold large numbers of waterbirds alongside species associated with reeds, seasonally wet fields and the surrounding rural landscape.
A half-day concentrates on three to four hours in the core area. The full-day option continues after lunch toward San Bernardino, adding another set of sites and more field time. Wildlife Paraguay gives roughly 50–70 species as a possible outing total and names several Important Bird Area specialists, but neither the count nor any individual bird is guaranteed.

Arroyos y Esteros wetlands and grasslands
Leave the hotel or agreed point early and spend three to four hours across wetland and grassland sites. A full-day booking continues toward San Bernardino after lunch before returning to Asuncion.
