About this tour
Mbaracayu Biosphere Reserve combines two major biodiversity hotspots, Cerrado savanna and humid Atlantic Forest, and offers one of Paraguay’s strongest short routes for endangered bird species.
The itinerary visits Jejui Mi, Lagunitas and Aguara Nu, with chances for White-winged Nightjar, Black-fronted Piping-Guan, Bare-throated Bellbird, Marsh Seedeater, Chestnut Seedeater and supporting wildlife.

Pick up from the hotel early, bird en route at Arroyos y Esteros and arrive at Jejui Mi in the afternoon for a short trail walk.
All-day birding and wildlife watching around Jejui Mi, then continue toward Lagunitas for marshland and forest birds.
Early departure to Aguara Nu for Cerrado birding through the day, with a focused attempt for White-winged Nightjar near nightfall.
Morning birding at Jejui Mi, lunch and return to Asuncion.
