About this tour

This river route combines boat-based birding, wetlands, riverbanks and small forest patches within reach of Asuncion. Half-day, full-day and two-day camping versions are available by arrangement.

The half-day route explores the Paraguay and Piribebuy rivers with about 40 to 60 expected bird species and possible Neotropical Otter. The full-day route continues toward the Manduvira River and Monkeys Trail, while the two-day version adds night birding for nightjars and owls and can reach about 100 bird species.
