About this tour
Pasonanca gives access to lowland forest roughly an hour’s drive from Zamboanga City. Guided birding here concentrates on forest flocks and the larger birds using the canopy, with Mindanao Broadbill, hornbills and raptors among the possibilities.
La Paz complements the park but lies outside its boundaries. The guide describes woodpeckers and kingfishers here, with an evening option for owling. Mindanao Boobook and Giant Scops-Owl are possible birds after sunset, rather than daytime expectations.
Other sites nearer the city can add riverside kingfishers and wetland birds when they suit the itinerary. This is a flexible short-trip format: the choice of sites, number of birding sessions and any evening component are agreed around your interests and available time.
