West and East: Two-Day Gdańsk Birdwatching Package
Pair a four-hour Ptasi Raj walk with a five-hour Mewia Łacha outing on two private guiding days, either consecutive or spaced within your Gdańsk stay.
About this tour
Combine the contrasting ends of Sobieszewo Island with two private guided wildlife walks. The first day explores Ptasi Raj near Gdańsk, and the second visits the western side of Mewia Łacha beside the Vistula mouth. Together they offer birdwatching across sheltered wetlands, woodland, dunes and exposed Baltic shore.
At Ptasi Raj, a four-hour walk introduces the reserve’s forest and wetland habitats, with time to watch birds and notice other wildlife. The coastal stretch brings you onto an amber-strewn Baltic beach. This is the gentler of the two walks, with observation stops woven into the route.
The Mewia Łacha outing lasts five hours and follows pine-forest paths toward the dunes and coastal viewpoint. Here the focus shifts to breeding and migratory seabirds and the possibility of grey seals resting on distant sandbanks. Soft, uneven sand makes this section more demanding, so moderate walking fitness is useful.
The package operates year-round and covers approximately 14 km across the two outings. You can take the walks on consecutive days or leave a few days between them to fit your stay. Binoculars, a field guide and insect repellent are included. Accommodation and travel to and from the reserves are excluded, leaving you free to arrange your own base. Birdlife varies with season and weather, and sightings of particular animals are never assured.

Spend approximately four hours exploring the reserve’s woodland and wetland habitats, with birdwatching stops and a Baltic coastal section.
Day 2
Mewia Łacha: dunes and seabirds
Follow pine-forest trails and sandy dunes on a five-hour walk toward the coastal viewpoint. Look for seabirds and possible grey seals on distant sandbanks. The two outings can be on consecutive days or separated within your stay.
