About this tour
This private 3-hour experience begins at the Ebro Delta Natural Park Ecomuseum and follows the guide into the landscapes north of the river. Roadside stops introduce the rice-growing cycle, local environmental pressures and the birds that use cultivated and flooded fields through the seasons.
At Fangar Bay, the focus shifts to saline vegetation and coastal wetland habitat. The route continues to Illa de Mar, where an easy walk of about one kilometre leads to a viewpoint over mussel beds, the Fangar Peninsula and the surrounding rice fields. Birding stops are selected according to current conditions rather than a fixed list of guaranteed sightings.
The final section visits the small fishing harbour at Illa de Mar and explains the bay’s mussel and oyster cultivation before returning toward the Ecomuseum. Guests follow the guide in their own vehicle between the principal stops.
