Travel to Masindi with birding stops, check in at Masindi Hotel and use the evening to explore the bird-rich grounds.

Walk Budongo’s Royal Mile trail for forest kingfishers, Nahan’s Francolin, Chestnut-capped Flycatcher, spinetails and other lowland specialists.

Devote the day to Murchison Falls, combining bird and wildlife observation across grassland, woodland, river and waterfall habitat.

Continue in Murchison, concentrating on the Nile delta, papyrus and riverine thickets for Shoebill, bee-eaters, pratincoles and other park birds.

Transfer to Fort Portal beneath the Rwenzori foothills, using wetlands and roadside habitat for birding before overnighting at Mountains of the Moon.

Walk Semuliki National Park trails early for Guinea–Congo forest birds, Piculet, hornbills and other lowland specialties around forest and wetland habitat.

Travel into Queen Elizabeth National Park and begin birding its Ishasha plains, lakes, savanna, woodland and wetland habitats.

Continue a full day in Queen Elizabeth across acacia woodland, grassland, papyrus, rainforest and crater-lake country for birds and mammals.

Take a boat ride on the 32-kilometer Kazinga Channel between Lakes Edward and George for waterbirds, waders, hippos and crocodiles.

Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, birding en route. Begin the four-day Bwindi section with walks of variable length in Albertine Rift habitat.

Explore the Buhoma sector for forest birds, with gorilla trekking available only under a valid advance permit and current park arrangements.

Drive toward Ruhija, birding through the forested Neck for flycatchers, starlings, apalises, greenbuls and Black Bee-eater.

Walk the Ruhija and Mubwindi Swamp trail, about five kilometers each way, for Grauer’s Broadbill and other Albertine Rift endemics.

Continue in Lake Mburo around Warukiri, Miriti swamps and Rubanga Forest for birds and wildlife; cycling or horse riding is separate and subject to arrangements.

Drive to Entebbe Airport for departure. Gorilla and chimpanzee permits require advance booking, and the final transfer follows the confirmed flight schedule.
