Arrive in Uganda, meet the guide and prepare for the overland safari route.
Travel north toward Murchison Falls National Park. Depending on timing, begin with waterfall viewpoints, Nile scenery or an introductory game drive.
Explore Murchison Falls by vehicle and/or boat. The route can be adapted for birding interests, including raptors, river birds and possible Shoebill-focused extensions where available.
Continue toward Kibale, with changing habitats from savanna and farmland to moist forest.
Track chimpanzees in Kibale National Park. Optional forest birding can focus on turacos, pittas and other forest species depending on season and guide availability.
Enter Queen Elizabeth National Park for savanna wildlife viewing and game drives. Birding can focus on open-country and wetland species.
Boat safari on or around the Kazinga Channel for hippos, crocodiles and waterbirds, then continue toward the Bwindi area.
Gorilla trekking day with UWA rangers and trackers. Forest-edge birding may be possible around the lodge before or after the trek.
Return toward Entebbe for departure or onward extensions.
