The route is built around the season and your priorities. Spring can combine returning migrants, terns at the Ythan Estuary, breeding seabirds and Osprey. Summer can focus on the uplands and mountain specialists such as Ptarmigan and Dotterel. Autumn and winter bring major movements of geese and wildfowl, with Loch of Strathbeg and Loch of Skene among the possible wetland destinations.
