Explore the habitat diversity of Aberdeenshire on a private full-day tour with local guide David Leslie.
The route is built around the season and your priorities. Spring can combine returning migrants, terns at the Ythan Estuary, breeding seabirds and Osprey. Summer can focus on the uplands and mountain specialists such as Ptarmigan and Dotterel. Autumn and winter bring major movements of geese and wildfowl, with Loch of Strathbeg and Loch of Skene among the possible wetland destinations.
A productive spring day can exceed 100 species, but totals and sightings always depend on weather, access and bird activity.
Full-day outings usually start around 9 am. David can adapt the walking pace and route to the group’s mobility needs when these are discussed in advance.
