Private Bighorns and Birds Half-Day Tour
Search a Colorado mountain canyon for bighorn sheep, American Dipper, foothill birds and winter raptors on a private October-to-March half-day.
About this tour
Spend a winter half-day in a Colorado mountain canyon where rocky slopes, moving water and foothill vegetation support both bighorn sheep and a varied bird community. The trip balances wildlife watching with birding and landscape photography, using a route selected for current conditions.
American Dipper is a characteristic streamside possibility. The guide also looks for Golden Eagle and other birds associated with canyon walls, open slopes and water. Bighorn sheep are an important focus, but their movements and every bird sighting remain unpredictable.
This seasonal outing operates from October through March, when local bighorn observations are generally more reliable than during spring and summer. The private five-hour program runs from 07:00 to 12:00 for one to four guests. Door-to-door transportation within most of the Denver metro area, guiding, snacks, water, binoculars, spotting scope, fees and permits are included.
