Kodiak Bald Eagle Photography Tour
A five-day, non-baited Bald Eagle photography workshop on Kodiak Island with small-group field instruction from local photographer Kris Luckenbach.
About this tour
Photograph Bald Eagles across Kodiak Island during a late-winter birding and photography program around rivers, estuaries and coastal habitats. The program is non-baited and follows the birds’ natural movement, behavior, tides and changing light.
Kodiak-based photographer Kris Luckenbach leads the small group and provides hands-on guidance with exposure, composition, flight photography and ethical positioning. Sessions may range from close portraits and birds in flight to wider scenes with coastline and snow-covered mountains. Other wildlife and landscape subjects are included when useful opportunities appear.
The published departure includes four hotel nights, breakfast, airport transfers, tour transport, expert guiding and photography instruction. Lunches, dinners, flights and personal equipment are not included. Wildlife activity and weather determine the daily field plan, and no sighting is guaranteed.
