Use rural roads and short walks to cover thorn-tree savanna and humid grassland, switching between vehicle-based observation and field stops.
Day 2
Delta marshes and reedbeds
Concentrate on channels, marsh and reedbeds for waterbirds and delta species, with the route chosen around water levels and road access.
Day 3
Riverside woodland and priority birds
Visit forest strips beside the waterways and return to the strongest habitats for remaining priorities. This day is omitted on a short visit or redistributed in a four-day plan.
