Spotted Nothura, Nothura maculosa, is a tinamou in the family Tinamidae. It is found in South America, with a breeding range in south-eastern parts of the continent. Its habitat includes dry savanna, temperate grassland and pasture land, and it can occur at elevations up to 2,300 m. The species lives in eastern and southern Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina, and also in Bolivia. It was first described from a specimen collected in Paraguay in 1815.
