This is a tour that takes you to subtropical grasslands, Chaco forests, Wetlands and Atlantic Rainforests of Northeast Argentina.
The Iberá Wetlands, located in the Argentinean province of Corrientes, offers an unparalleled experience to witness some of the world's largest protected wetlands. The area is rich in biodiversity, home to over 500 bird species, including the majestic Jabiru Stork, and the reintroduction and conservation of South America's iconic species like the Red-and-green Macaw and Bare-faced Curassow
Throughout 200 km, we will visit the different ecosystems that alternate in a mosaic of natural landscapes. Grasslands that are home to various species of seedeaters, grass-finches and iconic species such as the Strange-tailed Tyrant, give rise to lakes and subtropical wetlands with outstanding species such as the Jabirú, Crested Doradito or Black-capped Donacobius among Rails, Storks, Bitterns and Screamers. The setting of the Chaco humid forest, also allows to find species little known among observers, including Cuckoos, Flycatchers, Raptors or Tanagers.
The trip is crowned by the Iguazú Falls, in the middle of a lush Atlantic rainforest on the border of Argentina and Brazil. The park surrounding the falls offers a diversity of wildlife, trails and jungle viewing platforms, including the iconic Devil's Throat. There is also a host of incredible flora and fauna around to appreciate, including jaguar, ocelot, eagles and toucans, and many more magnificent birds.

Arrival in Buenos Aires and rest before spending the night in the city.
We travel from Buenos Aires to Ceibas to explore savannas, grasslands and forests rich in wildlife, with excellent birding and photography opportunities throughout the day before spending the night in Ceibas.
We visit the northern Paraná River Delta to birdwatch in vast wetlands full of diverse species, with the option of an evening owling outing before staying the night in Ceibas.
A full day focused on grassland specialists in Ceibas, with a chance to find Saffron-cowled Blackbird, before returning to Buenos Aires for the night.
We fly to Posadas and travel to Iberá Wetlands, birding en route to the Loreto portal before enjoying the feeders at Iberá Birding Lodge and spending the night there.
We explore forests, lagoons and grasslands in a Humid Chaco âislandâ searching for specialties like Strange-tailed Tyrant, then enter the wetlands by boat or kayak before returning to Loreto for the night.
Birding through Paraná River tributaries for unique species and then enter the Cambyretá portal of Iberá Park, rich in birds and wildlife, where we spend the night.
A full day deep inside Iberá National Park combines exceptional birding with wildlife observation, considered a highlight of the trip, before another night in Cambyretá.
We travel from Corrientes to Misiones, stopping in the first hills to bird new environments and species before spending the night in Santa Ana.
We bird the central mountains of Misiones at Salto Encantado Park, combining scenic viewpoints with key species searches before staying the night in Salto Encantado.
We travel to Iguazú with birding en route and visit the Hummingbird Garden in the afternoon before spending the night in Iguazú.
A full day in Iguazú National Park includes trails, viewpoints and abundant wildlife around the famous falls before spending the night in Iguazú.
We spend the day birding Urugua-à Park, a key rainforest corridor with elusive species and Black-fronted Piping-Guan, then return to Iguazú for the night (with optional lodge stay).
We enjoy a final morning of birding around Iguazú, then fly to Buenos Aires for a farewell dinner and overnight stay.
