About this tour
The journey follows National Route 3 from Ushuaia through forests, peat bogs and mountain scenery before continuing on foot into high-Andean habitat. White-bellied Seedsnipe is the central objective, supported by ground-tyrants, caracaras, finches and other birds associated with the pass and its approaches.
This eight-hour excursion begins at 08:00 and includes snacks and a lunch box. The mountain section involves a moderate hike on irregular ground and slopes, so waterproof hiking footwear and layered clothing are appropriate. The guide adjusts the search to weather, visibility and recent bird activity while retaining the Garibaldi Pass focus.
